A curved glass roof defines this study. Set above the low volume of 555 Chabanel, extending the existing third floor, it houses a proposed convention and event centre, and gives it a form that reads clearly against the building below.

The curve works against the strict precast concrete of the existing structure. It stays light and translucent where the building is heavy and closed, and it pulls daylight down into the hall, which matters here, since the side walls can hold only limited openings under the applicable regulations.
