This vertical expansion project represents the second phase of a transformation initiated in 2015 in Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie. The addition of a new storey and mezzanine to the existing fourplex allows for the creation of three new rental units, bringing the building to a total of seven residential units.

The intervention’s volumetric expression is shaped by site conditions: the lateral access servitude and municipal regulations governing vertical additions. Though it speaks its own architectural language, the extension establishes a dialogue with the existing building through a play of alignments, proportions, and colors. The red cladding echoes the existing brick, while white elements lighten the perception of the overall addition.
